Why heater jobs go wrong with single-trade contractors

A water heater touches two trades at once. The pipework must be sound and serviced by the right valves; the circuit must be dedicated, correctly sized and protected by a working ELCB. A plumber who "also does wiring" or an electrician who "can handle the pipes" is where most of the horror stories start — lukewarm showers, nuisance tripping, or worse, a unit that was never properly earthed.

Because Flowbox runs both trades in one crew, your heater is installed the way the manufacturer manual actually specifies. That keeps the warranty valid, too.

Repair or replace? Our honest rule of thumb

If an instant heater is over eight years old and needs anything more than a shower head, replacement usually wins on cost. Storage tanks are worth servicing until the tank itself corrodes — after that, no repair makes sense. We will tell you which side of the line your unit sits on, with prices for both, and let you decide.

What it costs

Standard instant heater replacement (unit supplied by us) typically runs RM380–RM750 all-in depending on model. New dedicated circuits and storage installations are quoted after a quick site check. Installation workmanship is guaranteed 90 days; the units carry their own 1–5 year manufacturer warranties.
