Terms & conditions

These terms apply to services provided by Flowbox Home Works Sdn Bhd (Company Reg. No. 202101017842 (1421683-T)) and to the use of the flowbox.my website. By booking a visit or accepting a quotation, you agree to them. They are governed by the laws of Malaysia.

1. Quotations

Quotations are provided free of charge in writing (typically via WhatsApp or email) and remain valid for 14 days. A quotation covers the scope described in it — no more, no less. Where diagnosis reveals additional work once fittings or surfaces are opened, we pause, explain what we found, and issue a revised quotation. Work beyond the original scope proceeds only with your approval.

2. Inspection fees

Diagnostic visits within our core coverage area carry an RM60 inspection fee, payable if you choose not to proceed with quoted work. The fee is waived in full when the quoted repair goes ahead. Inspection fees for locations outside the core area are stated when booking.

3. Bookings and access

Appointment windows are agreed when booking. You agree to provide safe access to the work area, including arranging any building management permits (we will supply our license and insurance documents to support these). If we arrive as scheduled and cannot access the property, a transport charge may apply to the rebooked visit.

4. Cancellation and rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule at no charge up to 4 working hours before the appointment window. Later cancellations may incur a transport charge if a van is already en route. We will likewise notify you promptly if weather, traffic or an emergency job delays your window, and re-offer the earliest available slot.

5. Performance of work

All electrical work is performed or supervised by Suruhanjaya Tenaga registered personnel, and plumbing work by experienced tradespeople to applicable Malaysian standards. We protect work areas, remove our debris, and test completed work in your presence. Where we must isolate water or power supplies temporarily, we will tell you before doing so.

6. Materials and parts

Parts we supply are new and of merchantable quality, with any manufacturer warranty passed to you. You may supply your own parts; in that case we warrant our installation workmanship only, not the part itself, and we may decline to install parts that are visibly unsafe or non-compliant.

7. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless agreed otherwise in writing. We accept cash, bank transfer, DuitNow QR, Touch 'n Go eWallet and major cards. Larger projects (such as rewiring) may be invoiced in agreed stages. Amounts unpaid 14 days after invoice may accrue late interest at 1.5% per month.

8. Workmanship guarantee

Our workmanship is guaranteed for 90 days from completion, as detailed in the return & refund policy. The guarantee covers the failure of work we performed; it does not cover unrelated faults, subsequent damage by others, or normal wear of consumable parts.

9. Liability

We carry public liability insurance and accept responsibility for damage directly caused by our negligence. We are not liable for pre-existing defects we did not create (though we will point them out when we find them), for consequential losses such as lost rental income, or for damage arising from information you did not disclose — for example, undocumented buried services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law, including your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999.

10. Website use

Content on flowbox.my, including our guides, is provided for general information and is not a substitute for on-site professional assessment. Acting on a guide is at your own risk — when in doubt, book the inspection. Site content is our copyright and may not be republished commercially without permission.

11. Disputes

If something is not right, contact us first — most issues are resolved with one site visit. Failing that, disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. Consumers may also refer eligible claims to the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia.
